Title 18, U.S.C., Section 894 - Collection of Extensions of Credit by Extortionate Means

This statute makes it unlawful to collect any extension of credit or punish any person for the non-repayment of the debt or extension of credit, through extortionate means. It complements the involuntary servitude statutes because it does not require that the victim be held for a term.

Punishment varies from a fine or imprisonment of up to twenty years, or both.
